1. Primary Global Sidebar (Tier 1)

Located on the far left, this sidebar contains the 12 primary GRC domains (Home, Regulatory Compliance, Controls & Assurance, Risk Management, Policy Governance, Audit & Inspection, Third-Party Risk, Operational Resilience, Incidents & Loss Events, Work & Decisions, Reports, Administration).

  • Can be collapsed into compact icon mode using the collapse button at the bottom.
  • Displays badge counters for pending items in My Work and unaddressed Requirements.

2. Secondary Sub-Navigation (Tier 2)

When selecting a domain, the secondary sidebar displays the modules and tools specific to that domain (e.g., within Controls & Assurance: Control Register, Assessments, Control Crosswalk, Evidence Library, Continuous Assurance).

3. Topbar & Header

The top navigation bar provides:

  • Global Breadcrumbs: Clickable hierarchy showing your current location within the application.
  • Notification Bell: Alerts for assigned tasks, approaching deadlines, and workflow escalations.
  • OrviQ Assistant: Trigger the slide-over AI Assistant drawer via the topbar button or keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+J / Cmd+J).
  • User Profile Menu: View your active role, access profile settings, or sign out.

4. Interactive Slide-Over Drawers

Clicking on any entity in a table (e.g., a Control, Requirement, or Risk) opens a right-side drawer containing detailed metadata, linked records, evidence, audit trails, and quick actions without navigating away from your list.
