Start in the Workbench, not the dashboard
A dashboard tells you the state of the estate. The Workbench tells you what is waiting for you. For most roles the second question needs answering first.
Permissions and entitlement
Requires report.read. Dashboard visibility follows your permissions — two people opening the same dashboard with different access see different totals, and both are correct.
